    아카데믹 영어 프로그램 (EAP)는 대학 공부를 하려는 학생들에게 필요한 영어 실력을 배양하는 프로그램입니다. 원하는 공부를 하기 위해 학술 영어의 기초 실력을 쌓고 싶은 학생들에게 필요한 프로그램입니다.
    Academic Skills 과정의 3과목을 다 듣고 나면, 울런공 대학교의 파운데이션 프로그램이나 경영 수료 과정에 진입하거나 대학에 입학하기 위해 고급 단계의 EAP 프로그램(IELTS 시험 준비 또는 제3의 학문을 위한 영어 수업)을 듣게 됩니다.

    수업목표, 장점 :
    영어 중급 레벨에 도달하지 못한 학생들을 일반 영어 프로그램에서부터 EAP 코스를 시작하게 됩니다.

    커리큘럼 :
    이 프로그램은 세 단계로 이루어집니다. Academic Skills 1, 2, 그리고 3단계입니다.
    학생들은 작문을 통한 설명 및 논쟁적 글 쓰기 등을 훈련하게 되고 발표 등에 필요한 학술적 영어를 배우게 됩니다. 수업은 토론과 비판적 사고를 기를 수 있는 주제들로 구성됩니다. 더 나아가 학생들은 수준 높은 학문 연구를 위한 준비 단계로서 스스로 학습하는 능력을 기르게 됩니다.

    파운데이션 프로그램은 고등학교를 졸업하지 않았거나 울런공 대학 입학 조건을 갖추지 못한 국제 학생들을 위한 특별 준비 과정입니다.

    커리큘럼 :
    3세션로 이루어진 파운데이션 익스텐디드 프로그램 또한 들을 수 있습니다. 익스텐디드 프로그램에서는 학술 영어, 수학, 사람과 사회, 그리고 환경 과학 등의 과목을 한 학기 동안 듣게 됩니다. 이 첫 세션을 듣고 나면 두번째 및 세번째 세션에서도 성공적으로 파운데이션 프로그램을 마치실 수 있습니다.

第一期語言學校的課程終於接近尾聲了，在五週的密集的特訓，總算有點進步。回首這五週，除了老師和寄宿家庭媽的指導之外，學校的聽力課程和閱讀課程對我的幫助最大。

在聽力課程中陳設了各式卡帶和教材，想聽新聞，故事，商業英文，音樂，甚至發音練習，應有盡有，和每一期課程相關主題的卡帶和講義也不少。而閱讀課程中，除了傳統教材和考試用書之外，還有種類繁多的雜誌和我最喜歡的小說區和報紙。

回想起剛到澳洲的時候，報紙只看得懂商業版，遇上版面很大的賽馬時，往往只能搖首長嘆。沒想到過沒兩週，居然遇上澳洲的年度盛事，這是澳洲賽馬的年度盛事，每天的報紙和新聞都在為這場年度盛事做暖身，澳洲人也慢慢進入瘋狂狀態，連老師上課時，也不忘稍為提一下，到了比賽前夕，連市公所都不見人影比賽下午三點開賽。

這麼大的賽馬比賽讓人難免想預測到底哪匹馬會奪冠，這時我才真正體會到澳洲人的賭癮實在不小，除了賽馬，各式球賽也是下注的對象，甚至彩券也比我們多很多種。在經過耳濡目染後，頓時發現賽馬新聞親切許多，實在是一大收穫。
